Ayers Rock, Au

Jan 14, 1988

A view of Ayers Rock that rises
348 meters (1141 feet) above the desert plain.
This Aboriginal sacred site is the
world's largest monolith

It is sacred to the Aboriginy because rainwater runs off the rock
to provide plants, water and animals for food.
You can see it from a distance so it is a meeting spot.

Donna and Don at the foot of the climbing trail.
You can see the erosion from the rainwater and wind.

Rainwater erosion on the rock in the heart of the outback.
