This is an illegal crossing point on the Rio Grande River in Big Bend National Park. The US and Mexico do not have immigration officials at Boquillas crossing.
Two local Mexicans, in a leaky boat named "La Enchilada" with one bailing, pole the tourist across the river where you can ride a donkey or get a pickup ride for $2/pp about two miles to Boquillas Del Carmen, Mexico.
