Nuclear attack sub Frederiksted St. Croix US Virgin Islands |

Our visit was just before Reagan had the military kick the Cubans out of Grenada. We were fortunate to see some of the US Navy maneuvers as the fleet passed this island where we spent a week. Naval jets were flying just over the mast of the sailboat Lady off a carrier in the area as we sailed from Christiansted, St Croix to Charlotte Amie, St Thomas for an overnight visit. Above is a picture of a US nuclear attack sub that came into the pier as Donna and I were visiting the town of Frederiksted, St. Croix. The sailors were standing out on the tower fin as it tied up.
